Desoutter tool balancers offer a convenient and tidy stowage for portable equipment between operations at work station. These ruggedly constructed balancers are equipped with a specially reinforced hanging eye to withstand tensional and twisting loads. On types 100, 150 and 220 the hanging eye can be adjusted to three positions dependent on load to allow straight line cable pull-out.
The wide main spring produces a smooth progressive action and is housed within a drum for added safety during maintenance for easy attachment and removal of equipment a spring loaded safety hook is fitted to cable and a large rubber cushion absorbs shock when cable is retracted. The cable travel is easily adjusted by moving position of cable clamp.
On models 2DU, 4DU, and 5DU spring tension adjustment is by hand wheel on rear of balancer. On all other models spring tension adjustment is achieved by rotating center spindle with wrench supplied as standard.
